A natural golf green is extremely expensive to install and maintenance is time consuming and very costly – besides which maintenance would normally have to be carried out by trained green keepers! The Total product
1. The sub-soil (BASE): Artificial grass needs the right sub-soil (BASE) to be effective. In most cases, we recommend PG020 and PG04. We can create any kind of slope and shape and any design – we can even recreate your favourite hole from your golf course or one you have played on or seen on television!
2. The artificial grass: FiberGrass International has developed an artificial grass, designed specifically for the golf market. It is a totally different kind of grass than the ones used for hockey, tennis or football i.e. ASTRO TURF. See Green, Fringe, Tee for more information.
3. The infill: The artificial grass is filled with FiberFill – Performance Quartz. This consists of 100% round quartz grains made from mono crystal silicone. It is the FiberGrass Performance Infill that makes the golf ball behave in the same way as on a natural green, whether you use a pitching wedge or 4 iron!.
The final layer is the FiberGrass Performance Top Dressing. It is coloured black and green, which gives the green its year round natural look.

5. Maintenance
Private Greens helps you maintain your new Private Green. We will give you instructions and the right tools for maintaining your green i.e. roller, stimp meter and broom. It is advisable to have Private Greens do a two yearly check up and maintenance plan on your green.
